This Stuff Pack is an add-on for the Sims 3. You must have the base game to use this pack.It includes a number of clothes, hairs, makeups, and furnishings organized around the themes of the decades. From catsuits and Saturday Night Fever polyester leisure suits all the way to grunge, from KISS face paints to 80s New Wave streaks of eye color, it's got a little bit of everything. It comes with two hairs for men, four for women, all pretty good and evocative of the era. Teens even get a little attention here with hairstyles I seem to be reaching for over and over again in my games. I really liked one updo for women that looked like it came straight out of a Madonna video (pre-peroxide-and-bullet-bra). There aren't any new shoes or accessories, and the makeup is extreme enough that you probably won't use it much, except for a 70s porn-stache that works surprisingly well on even non-70s male Sims. The furniture is really rad (see what I did there?). The Sims has always had an affection for 70s-ish furniture, and the 90s are recent enough that most of us won't think they're too different, but the 80s is where the pack really shines. The 80s as an era are really neglected in the Sims catalog, but they get a lot of attention here. It was just delightful to see the most popular media and furniture trends lovingly recreated here. The detail is, as always, really good, with a playful eye toward adapting the most iconic 80s sights (like those angular women's portraits every trendy home and hair salon featured) into something more Sim-like.The clothes are, overall, exceptional and evocative. Though no decade gets a ton of attention, each decade gets some. But the clothes are playful as well. Everything looks very well-detailed and I liked it all a lot. Anybody with an interest in the 70s and 80s especially will love these as they all look like they're straight out of a classic movie or MTV video, and the 90s clothes work very well for any punk or poor Sim concept. The 80s stuff especially was gorgeous, all color-blocking, layering, and weird sizing. About the only off-note was an MC Hammer outfit for men--it looks so ridiculous I can't imagine ever using it.Overall, in the week I've had this pack I've used it often enough and am delighted enough by seeing its offerings ingame that I'm rating this SP very highly. In terms of how much is in it, it might not seem like a lot, but like the Master Suite SP, this one makes up for its numbers with quality. If you happen to have a soft spot for the three decades in question, then you'll probably like this SP. If you don't care, or don't particularly like one or two of the decades in question, you probably won't. (As always, its rating of T for Teen is spot-on; there's nothing especially sexual about it, but a couple pieces of the women's clothes are a little skimpy for younger kids.)
